Lisa Perez

I am a thirty-something mother of 3 children; two daughters, 10 & 4 and one son, 12. I’ve been with my husband for a little over 18 years but we’ve been married for almost 13 years. Yes, we have a long history together so we definitely have our ups and downs but we truly do love each other. I graduated from college in 96′ with a Sociology major and a minor in Criminology. My two favorite seasons are Fall and Spring. I love coffee, traveling, spending time with my family and learning new things. I am a proud Latina and I love all types of food.

I’ve been asked many times, why do I blog? Well, I blog because it keeps me sane. I also love to write, even though my grammar at times isn’t all that perfect . Since I’m a SAHM, I need something to keep my brain busy so blogging keeps me normal and makes me feel alive. The reason why I chose the title “New York Chica” is because I have lived in New York all my life and I love everything about New York. My favorite New York things are the NYC skyline, The Statue of Liberty and of course, Central Park.

At New York Chica, you will find lots of various topics. From saving money and finding the best deals, to motherhood, marriage, NYC events and almost anything else that is on my mind.
