Hi- I’m Stephanie, The Cozy Cook! I’m infatuated with cheese, soup that is so hot it burns my tongue, salads loaded with goodies, reruns of The King of Queens, my giant pink pig slippers, and the color purple….(the color, not the movie :-D ) I live in New Hampshire, and when I’m not working full time as a business analyst, I’m at home cooking, writing about cooking, taking pictures of what I’ve cooked, or reading- about cooking.
I’ve been blogging about food for just over a year now. I love getting into comfy clothes and spending time in the kitchen while my pup Toby and my husband Mark keeps me company. That’s where my happy place is.
I’m not a gourmet chef, and I still have lots to learn, but I enjoy sharing my kitchen experiences with you. I like taking pictures of the recipes I make (the good ones anyway), and I like writing about the food I’m creating. The entire process is so much fun. Especially when I get to interact with other bloggers and food lovers- that’s the best part of all.
Since life is so crazy busy, my recipes err on the simpler side. But if you ask me, food doesn’t have to be complicated or super-duper hard or sophisticated to taste good. (Grilled cheese and tomato soup: perfect example.)
I had absolutely no idea how many food bloggers there are out there when I started. I barely knew that blogging about food was even a “thing” (which is insane to me now.) I thought that busting out my cell phone and snapping pictures of a Caesar salad was pretty much all there is to it. I’m finally learning about photography, bettering my recipes, (& getting rid of lame ones), meeting other bloggers, and even learning about that thing called SEO. (ugh)
It’s been a huge learning experience so far. Just when I think I get it… I realize that I totally don’t. But I really hope that I do one day! And I hope that you’ll stay with me through the journey- because let’s face it, without you, this whole thing doesn’t make all that much sense does it? :)
