Just your average home, scratch cook who is an avid canner and baker. I really love learning about the history of a recipe - where it came from and how it has been changed. As a senior citizen, the changes in our cultural eating are both wonderful and concerning. My mission, though not from a soapbox, is to encourage more people to cook from scratch and to incorporate a healthier eating style into their life - leaving behind the quick, prefabricated foods.
