Along with 15 million Americans, I lost my job during the recession…but wait, don’t pity me! This period of my life led to a flow of creativity and the birth of Mmm, Me Gusta – A Little Cooking Show.

Mmm, Me Gusta = Mmm, I Like It

I LOVE to eat (especially carbs) and have a thing for computers. One day out of complete boredom, I literally pressed a button and POOF!, the show popped out. I’ve never attended culinary school. I am a home cook who was raised by a large family that thrived on delicious Mexican chow. The recipes featured on Me Gusta are meals my mother taught me, as well as dishes I’ve learned from friends and travels.

Mmm, Me Gusta is a DIY show whose content is very much driven by you, the viewers. Since launching in August of 2009, the show has received coverage from the BBC and other news outlets, and has just earned a distribution deal with Next New Networks--the leading distributers of independent online content.

What I’m up to when I’m not cooking?

Me Gusta is my baby. The show is literally a one-woman production. Beyond the show, I founded a community called Eats & Geeks based in Los Angeles/Orange County. It's for geeks who are passionate about noms. I’m active on a number of social sites, like Twitter (@cyuskoff), where I tweet about food, videoblogging and social media. When I’m not blogging, I’m growing a consulting business.
