Question: Anyone ever use Quail Eggs for Scotch Eggs?
July 8, 2010
I just think a regular egg is such a big "bite". Plus, I think the smaller eggs would make for a nice presentation.

Quail eggs are great! Wanting to peel all of them for Scotch Eggs might be real question. (At least, what I'd be asking:)
Have you ever found "Peewees" at your local market? They're smaller than small chicken eggs. Step larger than quail eggs, but might be an option and a nice bite size.

I think I would much prefer the smaller eggs. Magnolia Pub in San Francisco does it, and it's been written up over the years in different articles.
