There are a lot of guys on craigslist who part and piece out different pieces of equiptment- you can try craigslist or ebay for that.
It's believable to me and not surprising that a piece of kitchen equipment with NO NAME or any other identifying marks on it would have a faulty part. You get what you pay for.

I have always used T-Fal pressure cookers -- and not had to replace gaskets. Yes I do check on them to make sure they're not cracked or worn out.
