A large baking potato weighs about 1 pound so 150 pounds would be a fairly safe answer. It does depend on how you plan on preparing the potatoes though since mashed potatoes can be made for a large group without having a pound per person. If you are baking potatoes go with 1 pound per person and if you are mashing them go with about 120 pounds.
