Microwave for 3-4 minutes then flip it over and do another 3-4 minutes.

There are several different ways to cook sweet potatoes. Similar to the classic Russet baking potato, you can boil and mash them, bake them, slice and fry them like French fries or you can dice sweet potatoes and saute them in a pan with olive oil and salt and pepper until fork-tender.
