Question: I Need To Know Where I Can Buy Seabeans Near The Chicago Area?
April 20, 2010
I've been looking for these sea-beans since I first
saw them being used on the Food Network program
"Chopped."
They are tiny aspragus shaped vines that are salty
I know that they only can be bought at a certain
time of the year.

Check in a local Asian Market. I get them spring & summer in the Pacific Northwest, but never in a "regular" market. Also find a local farmers market and inquire there.
They're really good- like salty peas. Some people blanch them to remove a little of the salt, but we just lightly saute them with a little cracked black pepper- perfect!
