What recipe are you looking at ? it looks like a typo. Bak makes sense to be bake. DES could be dish or dust?

I did an image search and online search. The only thing I could come up with is that sometimes it's called for in cans, sometimes cartons and sometimes bulk. It comes up regularly in recipes from the Army Master Recipe File, which makes me think that it's product much like Dreamwhip- which is a boxed whipped topping that you add milk and a few ingredients to to create a "whipped cream -like" topping. It appears to be powdered. Preparation of the topping usually combine milk, vanilla and the topping, so it would probably have a premeasured sugar in it.

I'm also thinking that it's in a powdered form. I only wish I could find it somewhere. I'm familiar with Dreamwhip and perhaps I'll give that a try. It's for a buttercream frosting recipe.
