Cut it open, scoop out the seeds and put the squash cut side down on a cookie sheet and into a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. When it's done it will be soft with a little liquid on the bottom of the pan.
You can clean and roast the seeds- they're great to eat.
I have also sliced it, tossed it in olive oil, layed it on a cookie sheet. Sprinkled it with salt & pepper and roast for about 20 minutes at 350 or until the squash starts to lightly brown and is soft when poked with a fork.
