Question: Should I Use Brown Sugar Or Honey To Make Johnny Cake?

Most recipes that I have seen for Johnny Cake call for plain granulated sugar. I am sure brown sugar can also be used, to achieve a sweeter taste. You can pour honey onto the finished product, instead of syrup if you prefer.
