Italian. also sometimes spelled rabe and is very similar to what is being sold in some stores as broccolini. The former is a bit more bitter, IMO>

Can you please clarify, I don't know exactly what you mean? Broccoli raab is a typical vegetable used in Southern Italian cuisine, if that's what you mean.
