Question: Organic Produce Distributors in Seattle?

October 11, 2010
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been researching Amazon, Spud, and Charlies Produce, and I would really appreciate other points of view and ideas.

For you home or for your business?

Wholesale organics...Charlies will have a fair selection as will Rosella's and the rest of the wholesale produce companies. Most of their produce does not come from local sources.

For home...you can get CSA boxes from a variety of local organic farms. I get one from Full Circle Farms which you can find online at fullcirclefarms.com.

There are also a bunch of local farmer's market in the area which feature a variety of organic farms. Google local farmer's markets and you will find the list. There is one everyday somewhere near.

Since you are inquiring about distributors, I am assuming you are looking for larger quantities? The Skagit Valley Co-op in Mt. Vernon has a weekly wholesale market in an effort to bring growers and ranchers together with grocers and chefs. Anyone can participate if they are willing to buy larger quantities. If you don't want to make the drive to Mt. Vernon, check with the
co-ops close to you to see if they are doing anything similar. Your local co-op may be good source as well.
