Bean and Barley Soup
Ingredients

hock
1 lg.
onion
, chopped or sliced

garlic

red beans
, washed
1 c.
barley
Salt
pepper
to taste
Preparation
1
Cook beans according to directions. When half way cooked, add the ham hock, onions, garlic, barley and cook until soft (beans and barley). Add more
boiling
water, if too thick. Make it soupy as it will
thicken.
Can
be
frozen
in cartons.
