cup light corn syrup |

cup hot water |

cup mayonnaise |

tablespoon grated orange rind |

Step 1 |
Combine sugar, corn syrup and hot water. Heat slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves; then boil without stirring to firm ball or thread stage |
Step 2 |
(248 degrees on candy thermometer). |
Step 3 |
Beat egg whites with salt. When stiff, gradually beat in the hot syrup. |
Step 4 |
Add vanilla. |
Step 5 |
Fold in mayonnaise and orange rind. |
Step 6 |
Serve, separately, so that guest can spoon over fresh fruit. |
Step 7 |
Makes 2 1/2 cups. |
