tablespoons Toor Dal, (washed and soaked)

1

teaspoon Coriander Leaves, (finely chopped)

¼

teaspoon Cumin Seeds

2

pch Asafoetida

1

stalk Curry Leaves, (finely chopped)

2

pch Turmeric Powder, (2 to 3)

Salt - to taste

1

can Hot steamed rice

½

teaspoon Ghee

Step 1

Pressure cook washed dal in 2 cups water. (Approx. 4 whistles)

Step 2

Beat dal with hand beater till smooth and frothy.

Step 3

Heat ghee, add seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.

Step 4

Add turmeric and dal.

Step 5

Add remaining ingredients.

Step 6

Boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Step 7

Serve hot with steamed hot rice.

Step 8

Making time: 10 minutes (excl. pressuring cooking)

Step 9

Makes: 1 cup / 1 serving

Step 10

Best in: ailments like fever, ulcers and acidity. Very wholesome and filling.
