cups Rice Krispies

stick butter

¾

cup brown sugar

1 ¼

cups coconut

1

cup chopped nuts

½

gal. vanilla ice cream

¾

cup sugar

3

tablespoons cocoa

Dash salt

2

tablespoons water

cup can milk (5 oz.)

tablespoons butter

1

teaspoon vanilla

Step 1

Melt butter, stir in brown sugar. Add nuts, coconut and Rice Krispies. Spread out in large pan and bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Stir 2-3 times while cooking. Cool. Spread half of mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan. Slice ice cream (long ways) and piece together in a sheet on top of bottom layer of mixture. Cover ice cream with rest of mixture. Freeze. Top with chocolate syrup before serving.

Step 2

Chocolate Syrup: Mix sugar, cocoa and salt. Add water; mix well, then add milk. Boil over medium heat 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently with wire whisk. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
