Sausage & Peppers

Ingredients

3 pounds Italian sausage links (can be sweet or hot)
4 green peppers, cleaned and cut into large pieces
3 mediums yellow onions, peeled and quartered
1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
dried garlic flakes

Preparation

Place sausage in a large baking pan. Pierce sausage and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 20 minutes, until firm. Add peppers and onions to the pan. Bake another 15 minutes.

Add tomatoes and season with a sprinkling of salt, pepper, parsley, garlic, and oregano. Bake 5-10 minutes more, then move to a crock pot to simmer for at least one hour before serving.

Nice recipe. It'd be slightly clearer if you mention the sausage is in link form, not bulk. Yellow onions? And is a large can of crushed tomatoes 28 oz or something else?

Keeps well in a warm crock pot for several hours. Also freezes well.
