Frikadeller With Lingonberry Sauce

Ingredients

250 grams lean minced beef
250 grams lean minced pork
2 level tablespoons plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 onion, peeled and grated
generous grating of nutmeg
1 large egg
butter and oil to fry

Preparation

Combine everything well then season generously with salt and pepper.

Shape into about 20 little balls then chill for 1 hour.

Heat 25g butter and 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the frikadeller in 2 batches for about 10 minutes gently turning.

Drain on kitchen paper and serve wane dipped into lingonberry sauce.

Make the meatballs in advance and reheat in a low oven until warm. Wild lingonberry sauce is available from delicatessens and supermarkets, or look for it on the internet.
