Recipe: My Favorite Fat Free Baking Mix edit

Be the first to rate this!

Created by: Anonymous

Yield: 1 servings

edit Ingredients

4

cups White flour

4

cups Wheat flour

½

cup Bran (I prefer wheat germ, but it contains more fat)

2

tablespoons Baking powder

1

tablespoon Salt

1

teaspoon Baking soda

2

teaspoons Cream of tartar

edit Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients very well. For every 2 cups mix used add 1/2 cup fat free mayo. This replaces the usual shortening. (You can substitute applesauce, prunes or pureed squash or whatever you prefer to replace the fat free mayo.)

Step 2

This recipe may be made with all wheat flour or any combination.

Step 3

The mix works great in any recipe calling for a commercial biscuit/baking mix.
