edit Ingredients
4 |
cups White flour |
4 |
cups Wheat flour |
½ |
cup Bran (I prefer wheat germ, but it contains more fat) |
2 |
tablespoons Baking powder |
1 |
tablespoon Salt |
1 |
teaspoon Baking soda |
2 |
teaspoons Cream of tartar |
edit Preparation
Step 1 |
Mix all ingredients very well. For every 2 cups mix used add 1/2 cup fat free mayo. This replaces the usual shortening. (You can substitute applesauce, prunes or pureed squash or whatever you prefer to replace the fat free mayo.) |
Step 2 |
This recipe may be made with all wheat flour or any combination. |
Step 3 |
The mix works great in any recipe calling for a commercial biscuit/baking mix. |
