cup Margarine (2 sticks) at room

Temperature

1 ½

cups Packed dark brown sugar

1

cup Granulated sugar

1

teaspoon Vanilla (1 to 2)

Eggs

1 ½

cups All-purpose flour

1

teaspoon Baking soda

1

d Salt

1

teaspoon Ground cinnamon

1

d Ground nutmeg

1

cup x Generous raisins

1

cup x Generous chopped walnuts

Or walnut halves

cups Uncooked rolled oats

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

With electric mixer, beat together margarine and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs; beat until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix until smooth.

Step 3

By hand, stir in raisins, walnuts and rolled oats.

Step 4

Drop dough by heaping teaspoons onto parchment-lined cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until cookies are lightly and evenly browned. Leave on cookie sheets for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

Step 5
