grams Cos lettuce

tablespoons oyster sauce

1

tablespoon oil

Step 1

Separate the lettuce leaves and blanch them in a pot of boiling salted water for about 30 seconds or until they have wilted slightly.

Step 2

Remove them and drain well.

Step 3

Mix the oyster sauce with the oil.

Step 4

Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving dish pour the oyster sauce mixture over it and serve it immediately.

Step 5

Here is lettuce prepared in a very familiar Chinese way blanched and served with oyster sauce. Lettuce prepared like this retains a crispy texture and its delicate flavour is unimpaired by cooking. The combination makes a simple quickly prepared tasty vegetable dish.
