tablespoons oyster sauce |

Step 1 |
Separate the lettuce leaves and blanch them in a pot of boiling salted water for about 30 seconds or until they have wilted slightly. |
Step 2 |
Remove them and drain well. |
Step 3 |
Mix the oyster sauce with the oil. |
Step 4 |
Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving dish pour the oyster sauce mixture over it and serve it immediately. |
Step 5 |
Here is lettuce prepared in a very familiar Chinese way blanched and served with oyster sauce. Lettuce prepared like this retains a crispy texture and its delicate flavour is unimpaired by cooking. The combination makes a simple quickly prepared tasty vegetable dish. |
