Microwave Apple Sauce

Ingredients

8 Granny Smith or Pippin apples (8 to 10)
1/4 cup sugar (to taste) (¼ to ⅓)
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Peel, core, and chop apples. Put in large bowl; cover with plastic wrap.

Cook on high for 15-20 minutes or until apples are soft and mushy. Give bowl a quarter turn every 4-5 minutes. Add sugar and cinnamon while apples are hot. Refrigerate.

Serve warm over vanilla ice cream, or eat cold.

Note: If you don't have a microwave, add 1/2 cup water and cook slowly over medium-low heat on the stove until apples are soft and mushy.
