Soft Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon water
1 cup molasses
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon ginger
2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
2 tablespoons softened butter
4 tablespoons hot water

In a mixing bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Dissolve baking soda in water; add to creamed mixture. Blend in molasses. Sift together flour and ginger; gradually add to creamed mixture. Blend in molasses. Sift together flour and ginger; gradually add to creamed mixture (do not over beat). Drop onto baking sheet 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. When
