[edit] About Sesame Furikake

Furikake is a dry Japanese condiment that is sprinkled on top of rice. It is often brightly colored and flaky and comes in a number of varieties, but typically consists of a mixture of dried fish, sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, sugar and salt. Other ingredients such as katsuobushi (bonito), salmon, shiso, ume (pickled plum), egg, powdered miso, vegetables, etc. are often added to the mix.
