Bhindi Masala,Stuffed Bhindi,Masala Okra

Ingredients

20 Okra (Bhindi) washed and dried
4 tablespoons - oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 medium sized onion chopped finely
2 green chilies chopped,
3 flakes of garlic chopped finely
Pinch of asafetida powder
teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur) 4
Chili powder to taste
Salt to taste
oil for making paste

Preparation

Cut the stalk of each okra and make lengthwise slit.

Combine stuffing ingredients and mix well. (Amchur,Coriander powder,Chili powder,salt and little oil just enough to mix all dry ingredients )Stuff each okra with the mixture.

Saute cumin with the oil until it starts to crackle. Add Garlic,onions, green chilies.Saute till onion turns transparent, then put in asafetida and cook for a few seconds.

Add the okra and cover the pan till okra is cooked well and tender and well coated with the sauce (masala).

Serve stuffed bhindi hot with chapati, paratha
