Ingredients
1 cup
butter
1 cup
sugar
1 cup
golden syrup
or
1 cup
treacle
1 tablespoon
ginger
1 pch
salt
1 teaspoon bicarb
soda
1 tablespoon
milk
2 cups
flour
Preparation
1
Melt
together the butter, sugar, and golden syrup,
stirring
well.

Dissolve
the bicarb,
salt
and ginger in the milk and add to the mixture.

Add enouhg flour to form a stiff dough.

Scale
the dough into walnut-sized balls, flatten onto a
baking
tray and
bake
in at 325 F for 25 minutes.
