Sweet 'n Sour Pork

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds boneless pork, cut in bite size pieces
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
Batter - egg, milk and
1 can pineapple chunks, drain and reserve syrup
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1 onion, cut into thin strips
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup catsup

Preparation

Dip pork pieces in batter and fry until golden brown.

Drain on paper towels.

In large saucepan, cook pineapple syrup, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, catsup and salt until thick and clear (about 10 minutes over medium high heat)

Add pineapple, pepper and onion; bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add fried pork pieces. Heat through.

This meal is quick, easy and delicious! I might reduce the brown sugar by half next time- my recipe taster thought it was too sweet.
