edit Ingredients

1

pkg. snow peas (Chinese pea pods) (thawed and patted dry)

¾

pound fresh sliced mushrooms or 1 lg. jar sliced mushrooms

5

diagonal sliced fresh green onions (be sure to use the tops, also)

1

teaspoon Arrowroot, dissolved

edit Preparation

Step 1

Mix: 1/3 c. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. sugar

Step 2

(You may need to add same amount again - depends on size and amount of mushrooms.)

Step 3

Use just enough cooking oil to keep vegetables from sticking in wok or heavy skillet. Be sure cooking utensil is very hot. Stir fry mushrooms for 1 to 2 minutes (no more, they will finish cooking with rest of ingredients), adding small amount of sauce, next add onion, stir fry 1 to 2 minutes, adding a little of the sauce, then add snow peas, stir frying 1 minute only. Add rest of sauce and arrowroot (arrowroot is for thickening). Remove from heat and serve.

Step 4

Compliments any meat. If you do not desire crispness of vegetables stir fry a few minutes longer. You may want to add a pinch of salt - but only a pinch - soy sauce is very salty.
