Recipe: Grilled Fruit Skewers edit

Yield: 8 servings

edit Ingredients

bamboo skewers, soaked in water

1

pineapple, cut into small wedges

24

strawberries

2

banana, cut into large coins

2

small orange, segmented or 2 small mandarin, segmented

vegetable oil

edit Preparation

Step 1

Pre-heat the barbecue to medium-hot.

Step 2

Place alternate slices of each fruit on the skewers. Brush the grill with oil and cook the fruit skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side. Serve.

Step 3

Other foods for the barbecue:Grill fresh slices of pineapple, finger bananas (then slice them open a place a dab of butter and a sprinkle of brown sugar inside).

Step 4

Brush with oil slices of zuchini, eggplant, fennel, onions, peppers - whatever you like. Also, corn in the husk - place on grill and sear the husk then place on top rack and cook for 20 - 30 minutes.
