NOTE: You can prepare the patties at home before you go camping. Beat egg slightly. Mix together sausage, onion, parsley, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and beaten egg. Shape into 4 patties. Transport in a covered square container put in a cooler with ice.

AT THE CAMPSITE: Prepare 20 charcoal briquettes until they are white hot. Place patties on a hot griddle or skillet.Brown on both sides. Continue cooking for 10 to 15 minutes or until cooked all the way through. Makes 4 servings.

Also when not camping: These sausage patties can be baked at home in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Place on a wire rack in a shallow pan to drain the fat while baking.
