Step 2 |
Most commercially made self rising flours use baking powder that contains aluminum. If this is a health concern for you, this recipe uses an aluminum free baking powder. This flour can be substituted cup for cup in place of self rising flour. The whole wheat flour makes bread weightier. |
Step 3 |
They won't rise as much, but they take on a heartier, more wholesome flavor. |
Step 4 |
This recipe is for each cup of self rising flour needed. For convenience, mix up a larger batch & store in a flour container. |
