This Thanksgiving, why not give a cranberry coulis a try? This puree is a delicious sauce served with turkey and all of the fixings.

package (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries |

cup Water |
½ |
cup Orange juice |
1 ½ |
cups Sugar |
2 |
tablespoons cherry brandy |
Step 1 |
Rinse cranberries, discarding overripe berries. In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, water, and orange juice. Cover and bring to a boil; lower heat and cook for 7 to 10 minutes. |
Step 2 |
Add sugar and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. |
Step 3 |
Add liquor and continue cooking for 2 to 3 more minutes. |
Step 4 |
**If necessary, you can sub orange liqueur for cherry brandy
** optional: Strain mixture through fine mesh strainer, after step one to discard skins and seeds.
