Plum-Berry Compote

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups Red wine
1/2 cup Water
1 pound Plums
Peel of 1/2 orange
1/4 teaspoon Allspice
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Port
Whipped cream

Preparation

In non-aluminum saucepan heat wine & water until simmering. Add plums, orange peel, cinnamon sticks, allspice & sugar. Cook, simmering for about 6 minutes. Add blackberries. Cook 2 minutes. Stir gently. Add port. Pour into serving bowls. Let cool. Serve with whipped cream.
