Ingredients

4 cups flour
1 3/4 cups lard or Crisco
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup water

Preparation

Mix flour, lard, salt and sugar together with fingers, add egg, vinegar and water. Mix into dough. Form into ball, put in refrigerator for 15 minutes. Roll out for pies. Makes 3 double crust pies.
