[edit] Ingredients

ounces Tequila

4

tablespoons Tamarind Pulp

2

tablespoons Sugar

6

Ice cubes

Kosher salt

Mild Chili Powder

[edit] Preparation

Step 1

Combine Tequila, Tamarind, Sugar and Ice in a blender.

Step 2

Start blender on lowest level and move through the speeds to the highest. Allow to blend until the ice is totally ground up and slushy.

Step 3

Mix the kosher salt and chili powder on a plate. Wet the rim of two glasses and coat with the salt and chili mixture.

Step 4

Pour the Tamarita mix into the glasses and serve.

Similar in taste to a regular margarita, all the fruit and sour flavor in this drink comes from the tamarind.
