Parmesan Garlic & Herb Ciabatta Breadsticks

1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 stick of butter
1 clove of garlic
2 tablespoons of chives

Preheat oven to 375. cut ciabatta bread into 1/2 inch thick slices and place on a cookie sheet. soften butter in microwave and stir in salt, garlic and chives. brush garlicky mixture onto one side of ciabatta slices and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. remove from oven, let cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet & enjoy!

money/time savers:

* i always find huge loaves of ciabatta bread for $.90 in the discount bin at my local grocery store. grab some & freeze it for future use!
* in lieu of fresh garlic, use a garlic spread.
* any type of herb will do. i chose chives because they're going crazy in the garden.
* for breadsticks with a kick, try red pepper flakes or 1/2 a teaspoon of fresh jalapenos.
