tablespoons Unsalted butter |
2 |
pounds Medium asparagus spears, tough ends removed |

Fine sea salt, to taste |

Freshly ground pepper, to taste |

Coarse see salt, to taste |

Step 1 |
In a large skillet, melt butter over Medium heat. Add asparagus and shake the skillet unitl they fall into a single layer on th bottom of the pan. |
Step 2 |
Raise the heat slightly and cook until the butter starts to sizzle, 1-2 minutes. Season with fine sea salt and pepper. Reduce heat to Low. With a spatula, rotate the asparagus as they cook, turning them so they brown slightly on all sides. Cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until tender. Taste for seasoning. With a slotted spoon, gently transfer the asparagus to a platter. Sprinkle with a small amount of coarse sea salt. |
