Finally it's that time of year when the sun shines bright, the beaches are full and the grills come out. Added to that the fireworks and the celebrations...yes ...

cup plain yogurt |

cloves garlic |

tablespoons ginger root, chopped |

teaspoons Ancho chile powder |
Sea Salt to taste |

pounds chicken, cut into 8 pieces |

lemon, cut into 4 large wedges |
Step 1 |
Put a couple tablespoons of yogurt into your blender and add the garlic and ginger. |
Step 2 |
Blend until smooth. Add remaining yogurt and spices and mix thoroughly. |
Step 3 |
Place the chicken into a zip lock bag and pour the mixture into the bag. Shake gently to coat and allow the chicken to marinate over night. |
Step 4 |
Grill the chicken over hot coals until done, about 45 minutes depending on your grill. |
Step 5 |
Serve with lemon wedges on the side or squeeze juice over the chicken just before removing from the grill. |
