Recipe: Baked Fillets Of Haddock edit

pound frozen fillets of haddock |

cup white wine |

sm. onion, thinly sliced or 2 green onions, chopped |

cup water |

tablespoons melted butter |

tablespoons lemon juice |

sm. can sliced mushrooms |

Step 1 |
Arrange onion slices in bottom of greased shallow pan. Thaw fillets and drain well. Rub each with salt and pepper and arrange over onions; brush over with melted butter. Combine wine, lemon juice, and water; pour around fish. Sprinkle with oregano; cover with sliced mushrooms. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes, basting with liquid in pan. Arrange on hot platter for serving. |
