pkg. Knox gelatin

cups milk

¾

cup brown sugar

eggs, separated

¼

teaspoon salt

1

teaspoon vanilla

tablespoons butter

Step 1

In saucepan cook butter and sugar until stiff. Mix gelatin, milk, egg yolks, salt, and vanilla; add to sugar and butter very slowly. Bring to a boil; cool, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
