cups milk |

cup brown sugar |

eggs, separated |

teaspoon salt |

teaspoon vanilla |

tablespoons butter |

Step 1 |
In saucepan cook butter and sugar until stiff. Mix gelatin, milk, egg yolks, salt, and vanilla; add to sugar and butter very slowly. Bring to a boil; cool, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. |
