Aunt Lala's Sunday Gravy

Ingredients

1 large can tomato puree (no salt added if possible)
15 oz can tomato sauce (no salt added)
8 oz can tomato paste (no salt added)
1 pound uncooked meat (ground beef, veal, or pork; salt& black pepper, to taste

Preparation

In large pot, cook tomato puree over med heat for 20 minutes. Add tomato sauce and cook for another 20 minutes. Add tomato paste, plus 1 paste can of water, and cook 20 more minutes. Add the uncooked meat, breaking into small pieces as you add to the sauce. Cook for 3 hours, or until meat is cooked through.

Taste, and add salt & black pepper to taste if desired.

Excellent in baked/filled pasta dishes, on spaghetti, over meatballs, etc.
