Chicken & Rice Bake

Ingredients

1 soup can water
1 sm. can mushrooms, drained
1 1/4 cups rice, uncooked
4 chicken breasts, halved or other chicken pieces

Preparation

Combine mushroom, celery and chicken soups, soup can of water, butter and mushrooms in large saucepan. Heat and stir over moderate heat. When warm and thoroughly blended, remove 1 cup of mixture and set aside. Add rice to the saucepan and stir.

Pour soup and rice mixture into 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Place chicken pieces on top. Pour remaining cup of soup mixture over the chicken. Bake 2 to 2 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven until nicely browned.
