Step 1 |
Grease pan (don't flour). Set oven at 400 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, soda and cinnamon in a bowl. In saucepan, combine butter, Crisco, cocoa and water until melted and boil 1 minute. Pour over flour mixture and stir well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and then mix well. Pour into greased pan and bake approximately for 20 minutes. |

ICING: Melt cocoa, butter and milk - bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar all at once, beating until smooth. Add vanilla and pecans. Pour over cake while hot. |
