flour
plain
1 tablespoon
sugar
1 tablespoon
baking powder
1 teaspoon
salt
cup
shortening
¾ c
1 tablespoon
evaporated milk
1
egg
, beaten
Preparation
1
Combine
dry
ingredients.
Blend
in shortening. Add milk and egg.
Cool.
Chill
24-36 hours.

Filling: Fresh or
frozen
apples, cooked and
sweetened
to
taste.
Cool
in refrigerator 12-24 hours.

Fill dough with filling
mix
and
deep fry
at 375 degrees until
brown
.
