Step 1 |
Brown chicken parts in oil in a large covered frying pan. Remove and set aside. |
Step 2 |
Add onion to pan and saute until golden brown. Stir in garlic, sesame seeds, cinnamon and chili powder. Cook, stirring, over medium heat for 1 minute. |
Step 3 |
Add chicken broth and stir to incorporate browned bits in bottom of pan. Pour into a blander or food processor. Add peanut butter and raisins (and chocolate). |
Step 4 |
Process to a smooth puree. Return sauce to frying pan. Season with salt, if necessary. |
Step 5 |
Add chicken parts (except the breast) and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. |
Step 6 |
Add breast pieces and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Serve with steamed rice flavored with minced bell pepper. |
