Step 1 |

Slice the potatoes into fingers about eight for each potato and toss in the oil. Sprinkle on a little salt. |
Step 3 |
Hang the tin from the top set of runners in the roasting oven. |
Step 4 |
Cook for half an hour. |
Step 5 |
Stir round to recoat with the oil. |
Step 6 |
Cook for a further 20 to 30 minutes move the tin down the ovenif they are browning too much. |
Step 7 |
The cooking time will vary according to the type of potato used. |

These are a cross between baked potatoes and shopbought ovenchips. They have a good flavour and can be as crispy as you like. |
