cups Pillsbury's Best all-purpose or unbleached flour |

cup Pillsbury Best whole wheat flour or bran oat meal |

cups sugar |

teaspoons baking soda |

teaspoon salt |

teaspoon cinnamon |

cups (5 med.) thinly sliced peeled apples |

cup oil |
¼ |
cup honey |

teaspoon vanilla |

cup chopped nuts |

Step 1 |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour bottom only of 13 x 9 inch pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. |
Step 2 |
In large bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts; blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cool. Store cake in refrigerator. 12 servings. |
Step 3 |
High Altitude - above 3500 feet. Increase all purpose flour to 1 1/3 cups plus 2 tablespoons. Bake as directed above. |
