cups Pillsbury's Best all-purpose or unbleached flour

1

cup Pillsbury Best whole wheat flour or bran oat meal

1 ¼

cups sugar

2

teaspoons baking soda

1

teaspoon salt

1

teaspoon cinnamon

5

cups (5 med.) thinly sliced peeled apples

½

cup oil

¼

cup honey

1

teaspoon vanilla

2

eggs or ½ c. frozen cholesterol-free egg product, thawed

½

cup chopped nuts

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour bottom only of 13 x 9 inch pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.

Step 2

In large bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts; blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cool. Store cake in refrigerator. 12 servings.

Step 3

High Altitude - above 3500 feet. Increase all purpose flour to 1 1/3 cups plus 2 tablespoons. Bake as directed above.
