can mushrooms |

cans tomato paste |

med. carrots, chopped fine |

med. onion, chopped fine |

Step 1 |
Brown pot roast or hamburger in olive oil. If using hamburger, cut down olive oil to 2 tablespoons. Remove from pan. Put butter in pan, then add carrots and onions and cook until tender. Add garlic and parsley. Cook until tender. Add tomato paste and let cook for a few minutes (be careful not to burn). Add mushrooms with juice and 1 mushroom can of water and tomato sauce. Add spices and jerky and simmer an hour or so. Best if made the day before, more flavorful. |
